Is our Spirit Self-Generating?
When I was having a browse at my favourite second hand bookshop, I came across a wonderful very old edition of a book titled “The Metamorphosis of the Mystic“. I did not buy it and indeed wish that I had. However, one chapter sticks in my mind and it is this chapter that I would like to share with you.
EQUATION OF THE SELF-GENERATING SPIRIT
- CT = SL
Where:
- C = Universe of self-conscious life
- S = Spirit
- T = Time Space continuum
- L = Life without self-consciousness
- M = Matter
In other words:
Continuation in Time Space is equal and equivalent to Spirit acting on life.
We know that:
- L = S M
- CT = S2 M
- M = S T
- CT = S3 T
Therefore
- C = S3
If we replace 3 with N where N stands for infinity then we know that:
- C may not be final and C = SN
IE: LIFE IS OPEN TO AN INFINITELY SELF-GENERATING SPIRIT
We know from Buddhism that there is no “being” but there is “becoming”. This can be said to be the constant action of the spirit upon the whole universe.
The chapter goes onto say that the existence of the ETERNAL SPIRIT in the cosmos is a certain and inevitable fact.
It is a great revelation for me to read this as it might show some proof towards the fact that through reincarnation we have the ability to progress to higher spiritual levels. After all it states in the Bible; Psalm82 Verse 6 John 10.34 as quoted by Christ “I have said ye are Gods and all of you are children of the most high“.
