Tips to stay grounded

Walk barefoot at every opportunity.

When feeling out of sorts spend some time sitting or lying on the earth.  Let the atmosphere around seep down inside you.

Hug a tree for at least 5 minutes.  Soak up its strength.

Spend time in nature whenever you can.

Have plants in your home and look after them with care.

Make time for your body.  Massage, exercise, yoga, Pilates, Alexander Technique, Martial arts are all wonderful tools to focus your mind and strengthen your body.

Celebrate your body.  Dance whenever the mood takes you, sing to your hearts content and relax in a luxurious bath.

Learn some acupressure points that are specific to your needs.

Eat healthy, nourishing and sustaining food.  Learn to cook and educate yourself nutritionally.

Love yourself.  The most stunning attractive people exude ease and joy in their own body.

Turn your home into your sanctuary.  Create a space that you are able to relax in.

Bring love and vibrancy into your home.  Cuddle your partner, children and animals and care for them.

Commit to exploring your partners body regularly and lovingly.  Touch, massage, and scalp rubs.  Enjoy the closeness.

Meditate regularly.  Aim for your meditation to be connected to the physical in some way thus keeping you grounded.  You can imagine a white beam coming down through the top of your head, through your body to the soles of your feet and on to the core of the earth.  Alternatively imagine that your body is surrounded by a tunnel of pure
crystal blue light (your aura) and that a shower of golden white sparks is falling and shimmering down onto the top of your head and into your body.  These sparks are nourishing and healing you and reinforcing your protective aura.

At least once a week take a long reflective walk.  Observe the world around you and notice the life force surrounding you.  Be amazed at the beauty around us.

Sit and listen for 5 minutes at least once a week.  Listen with eyes closed to the sounds around you.  Let each
sound wash over you without getting mentally involved.  Simply notice them and let them pass.

Wear warm earthy colours such as red, orange, brown, green and yellow.  Imagine these shades bringing nourishment to you.

Connect with your community.  If you do not currently have a community, then start building one.

Share a meal, take time to talk to others and to notice and care for the people around you.  It will bring immense happiness and fulfilment.

Maintain balance by noticing when you start feeling heavy and sluggish as this indicates that you may be overdoing it.
