Do you realize that these conditions may be related to what you are eating? It is often
the case too that people crave
the very foods they are allergic to. Contact with allergens increases inflammatory mediators in the blood,
which then inflames tissue in any part of the body. Allergies can be cumulative and an allergic
reaction may not take place for a while after being exposed to the allergen.
In the joints it can cause arthritic pains. In
the respiratory tract it can cause sinusitis, asthma and excess mucous.
In the nervous system it can cause headache,
migraine, depression and tiredness. In
the skin it can cause rashes, eczema, psoriasis and hives.
Foods and additives that are well known to initiate an allergic response include:
- Milk, Egg,
Wheat, Soy and Soy derivatives, Nuts, Benzoic acid (E210), Tartrazine (E102)
and Glutamate.
In fact allergies and
additives go hand in hand. For example
most foods that claim they are flavoured: blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry
will be artificially flavoured.
Kinesiology testing can alert you to some of the foods that may be making your life less
enjoyable than it should be. Using
simple muscle testing against allergen food vials and suspected foods, I can
identify “Intolerance†and “Sensitivity†to every day foods that are causing you harm.
When
identified, you can then remove the harmful food items and build your diet from
the remaining safe foods. A complete
exclusion for 3-4 weeks is the ideal start to tolerating the identified food(s).
Allergy Testing is particularly helpful for children and can dramatically decrease the
common symptoms of runny noses, upset stomachs and skin problems that are often seen in toddlers.
If you are aware of a suspect food – bring it in to my clinic with you for testing against.
You owe it to yourself and to your family.
